Been a very long time since I last updated this blog. Ever since I started working, I never had a chance to update more of my achievements or even activities on this beauty scene.
So, reading this post title, you'll know that I joined this competition that opens for non professional make up artist on national scale in Indonesia that held by The Body Shop Indonesia. Crazy thing was, I didn't even had the intention to register because I know I wont be able to attend the intensive 3 weeks training and all due to my current job.
However, to follow my curiosity (and respect my dear friend who thinks I should try this), I applied for it anyway. Just 1 day after the contest deadline on 30th Aug 2012. Haha. I applied on 1st of September 2012. How enthusiast it shows :)
For the application, I must write down all the steps and make up tools that I'm using for one certain look. I choose the look from Black Remedy photoshoot with Gina Laline as model.
So I describe everything from A-Z for that look.
And on the next 20 days...
I receive a phone call, saying I get into the semi finalists section for the contest! WHAT A SURPRISE!

In this beginning of 2012, Revy Saladdin, one of my best co-worker/photographer has offered me to help him in realizing his ultimate portfolio work with a foreign model as the talent. Working with foreign model, with different shades of skin color has has never been in my thought before, since I mostly work with local Indonesian talents.
This is a new challenge for me, especially considering the model was Gina Laline. When you Google-d her name, you can see that she's a pro. Even though she's only 19. With gorgeous tanned skin and a sexy Spanish accent, she glows the studio with her lovely personality and make this photoshoot worth remembered. So, please enjoy my first attempt in giving Gina Laline some 'magic' with my brushes!

The Portfolio
Now, for Inch of Mesa mood lookbook, I get a chance to work with Claudia again, which face maybe familiar to you from my previous posts (Cloth Inc).
However, I am trying for a different look for Inch of Mesa to give her more sultry and innocent look to accentuate the clothes mood and feel.
So, here's a sneak peak of Inch of Mesa Catalog Photoshoot , with Reyna Venzka Deyandra as talents and Revy Saladdin as photographers. All clothing were from Inch of Mesa collection and available for purchase. Enjoy :)

The photo shoot took place in the area of Apartemen Rasuna, Kuningan , where our photographer Carissa Vicky, lives. She is one petite lady with great photography skills combined with serious ballet moves, that helps her a lot when taking some shots for this project. You can see more of her interests and work for this lookbook, here.
As for the models, I get to work with three Asian beauty, Claudia, Mery, and Riah. Three of them had a different make up looks that I applied on, not too much but only to enhance their natural beauty. So here, I show you the 'makeover' session before I post the look book photo preview.
