MY LOVE FOR MAKE UP & MY MAKE UP HERO : PONY'S MAKE UP

I finally update my blog design, how do you like it so far?!! (do it entirely myself, yeay! )
It's been quite sometime I didn't post anything on my blog. I've been doing several other things outside blogging that requires a lot of my attention and then you know, I just got bored again and run back to my old passion, which is MAKE UP!
So, if you guys followed me on Instagram , (please do follow @audrreysview if you haven't) , you may know that I am highly obsessed , as in having a HUGE GIRL CRUSH on this super talented girl, PONY!
She might be the the 'so-called' Korean version of Michelle Phan, because of her successful Youtube tutorial and being recruited as a TV Show Host for her own program called PONY'S MAKE UP and then finally launch a book and doing a fun world tour all around.
But what I envy her for, would be the HUGE SUPPORT that she received from her country, SOUTH KOREA. She had been stating on her Instagram profile that she is the "MAKE UP ARTIST OF KOREA" and you don't write that kind of statement without a legit back up, wouldn't you ?
The latest news I know, that Pony is now working with Chaelin CL (from the girl band 2NE1) as her official MAKE UP ARTIST, where CL'S has been working for her solo album in the USA for quite sometime and will be doing big global promotion. It's amazing how South Korea really appreciate and support their people, as in artists and help them to work together to bring the country's name above the radar! *talking bout world domination*
I wish Indonesian artists would be more cooperative, more positive towards each other by not trying to bring others down through bad words and critics and most importantly not too busy making sensation or gossip to increase their own social status instead.
I mean look at the example above, from a two different artists , CL as Singer from the music industry, and Pony as Make Up artist from the beauty Industry, they are able to bring a lot more impact through their creations (Example, If Pony using Korean Make Up Brand on CL and post in on Instagram, it will lead bigger sales for Korean beauty brand and eventually it'll give huge impact on national economic, right?)
So please Indonesia, remember that you are only as great as your people. If you don't support your local people, your local artists, your local creator, your local creative directors, your local singers and other local people who work in other fields as well, you are not going anywhere and we'll just sit there and watch the other countries dominates our country. We see many Japanese beauty brand, Korean brand, USA brand heading to open their store at our malls, but we rarely or haven't see any of our own Indonesian existing beauty brand setting up a store in Korea? Aren't we good enough? Aren't we creative enough ? What makes us not suitable for other market ? What standard's that we have missed ?
Sorry for all this critical thinking and ranting, you must not expect this kind of post coming from a beauty enthusiasts like me, but I really want my generation to be a generation of creators not just consumers !
This year, Pony finally established her own MAKE UP LINE called "PONY EFFECT" , thanks to all her hard work and most importantly SUPPORT from her surrounding ( not to mention again, her country) and these has been my long lost dream, to be recognized as an artist , appreciated locally and globally, and finally having my own brand released for everyone to enjoy.
I might be still far from my dreams, with a two or three steps back because many are being ahead of me now, which is really great and I really appreciate each of them because each of these people are highly talented, motivated and unique. I realized, this beauty industry are very promising and I know that my love for beauty will never fade. All i have to do is to work harder and smarter and lastly, to believe in myself!
So, as a tribute to my make up hero this time, I am recreating Pony's signature look, which is her colored eyebrow.
You can see Pony hairstyle are currently full of pinkish tone ombre and that also implies to her brow, that she has 'color' temporarily using a lip liner (I know because I've watched her tutorial on Youtube :p) . This is a smart way to avoid temporary eyebrow dyeing, and it helps you to try and experiment with other colors too!
So this is my final result after doing the colored eyebrow

I'm instantly obsessed with the way it turned out to be! Some of my friends commented that I looked like Barbie in this picture ! Well, always a first time for everything. And honestly, this is the filtered version of my picture. As for the original non edited version are as below,
I'm soo happy with how my blush on looks like this time and no, I'm not using any high end brand at all. Will reveal about it on my next post soon!
